Very intelligent and playful; they make friends easily and are entertaining company. However they’re easily bored and restless and so don’t always make the best long-term companions. They’re also impossible to keep an eye on. Combine this with their natural curiosity, physical agility, and desire to explore their world and they’re a nightmare for fainthearted owners. Most pets stranded on rooftops, window ledges or up trees are probably Gemini’s whose curiosity got the better of them.
A Gemini pet cooped up for too long with no space or mental stimulation is like to get depressed or even go a little batty. They learn quickly and appreciate it if you talk to them and encourage their attempts to communicate back to you with their voice and body language. They’re clever enough to open doors and windows and even rifle through your drawers when you’re not looking.
They need variety especially in their food bowl and get bored with the same menu day after day. They’ll scour your neighbourhood for something different, or if that’s not possible, they may turn their attention to your smaller pets. When it comes to love they’re terrible flirts and like to keep their options open and so it’s not unusual for them to have more than one admirer on the go-go.
