The North Node of the Moon (also known as the
Dragon's Head) travels through Scorpio throughout
2013 while the South Node of the Moon (also known
as the Dragon's Tail) travels through Taurus. Therefore,
be prepared to pursue your own hobbies and interests, to
have fun and play, and if you have kids to make space to have
quality time with them. If you have a hobby or talent you'd like to
develop further, then this would be a good year to do so.

With the South Node traveling through Taurus, the area of your solar chart associated with friends and the groups to which you belong, when it comes to the big decisions it is important now not to be too influenced by your peers or the expectations of others, especially people you know socially. Be prepared to swim against the tide of opinion or even go it alone if necessary.

With Pluto in your opposite sign of Capricorn, Uranus making a stressful aspect to Cancer from on high in Aries and, until recently, Saturn having made a stressful aspect to Cancer from Libra down below, it's fair to say that life hasn't been a bed of roses recently, especially for those born around the end of June and the early part of July. Pluto and Uranus have brought, and at times, wrought, big changes in your life, crises and upheavals, health issues, relationship stuff, you name it, you've faced it. Those born before the 4th of July have been most affected by this, those born after have this yet to come although they probably know what is on the cards. Change and transformation, breaking away from the past, following a new path, or renewing your commitment to an existing one and big changes, endings and beginnings on every front, including the relationship front are likely.

While those who have already had the experience of Uranus, Pluto ad Saturn are no doubt older and wiser, those others will still have a lot to deal with. However, for those born after 4th July, it is still challenging but not as tough as it has been. The main reason, and this applies to all Cancers now, is three-fold: Firstly, since the autumn of 2012, Saturn moved out of Libra where it was in stressful alignment with Cancer and into Scorpio, where it will stay until 2014, and where it is now in harmonious alignment with Cancer, it's a bit like your taskmaster becoming your friend. A very productive influence. Secondly, from the end of June 2013, Jupiter, the celestial Santa Claus, begins a year long transit through Cancer, your Sun sign. Jupiter is very comfortable in Cancer and so Jupiter's transit through Cancer should correspond with an increased sense of optimism and good fortune.

Jupiter's influence is considered expansive as opposed to Saturn's which is restricive. With Jupiter traveling through Cancer, this is not the best time to diet since one of the areas that can expand will be your waste-line. Nevertheless, this isn't a time to deny yourself or limit your opportunities to engage with others and engage with life. On the contrary, with Jupiter in Cancer for 12 months or so from late June 2013, this is a time to take a chance on life and love and embrace new people and opportunities that come your way.

Thirdly, the subtle influence of Neptune in Pisces adds to the mix. Usually, Neptune's influence is tricky at best since it has a tendency to sensitize, sidetrack and seduce whatever and wherever it goes. With Neptune, all that glitters is not gold. Nevertheless, since Neptune is in the sign of Pisces, a water sign in harmony with Cancer, your Sun sign as well as Scorpio, the other water sign, you are more likely to experience Neptune's more positive side. Whether good or bad, Neptune's influence is usually subtle. The more positive side of Neptune is associated with idealism, dreams, fantasy and the imagination. Therefore with Neptune in Pisces in harmony with Cancer for the foreseeable future, you are likely to become more creative, imaginative, psychic, mystical and even glamourous.

Pluto and Uranus will still bring challenges and dramatic and inevitable change in 2013. Fortunately however, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pieces, these three planets in the three water signs will form a protective triangle, or grand trine as astrologers call it.
