YOUR YEAR AHEAD 2013

With Jupiter in Gemini until the end of June, the
first half of 2013 promises to be a great time for
you socially. Therefore make the most of opportunities
to get out and about and mingle. At times, you may have
more options than you have time for, nevertheless, some of
the people who come into your life in 2013 will be kindred spirits
who could be around for some time. From the end of June Jupiter moves
into Cancer, one of the most complex areas of your solar chart. Jupiter's move into Cancer should represent a time for healing and the closing of karmic accounts but also an in-between phase as one cycle comes to a close but before another gets underway.

The second half of 2013 could see you reorienting or redirecting yourself, your energies and your efforts towards a more emotionally fulfilling direction. This is also a time of transition in readiness for Jupiter's move into Leo, your Sun sign, in 2014. With Jupiter in Cancer, this is a good time to work on yourself, to heal your wounds and those aspects of yourself and your past that may be preventing you fulfilling your potential.

Both the North Node of the Moon (also known s the Dragon's Head) and Saturn, the sober taskmaster of the zodiac, will be spending 2013 in Scorpio, the area of your solar chart associated with home, family and domestic matters. Saturn's presence in Scorpio suggests that you may have additional responsibilities to deal with in your private life. It could also indicate that your living situation is far from ideal. Nevertheless, with the North Node also making it's way through Scorpio this indicates that you should focus more on your private life, your living situation, home, family and domestic matters since this is where you'll benefit most. So Saturn suggests you have work to do in this area while the North Node promises benefits to you the more you make this area a priority.

The South Node of the Moon (also known as the Dragon's Tail) will be traveling through Taurus, the sign opposite Scorpio (the Nodes are always opposite one another) and this is the area of your solar chart concerned with career, vocation and your status in the eyes of the world. With the South Node in this area of your solar chart, and the North Node opposite Taurus in Scorpio, these represent two area of your life that will be competing for your time and energy in 2013. The North Node is the one to move towards and the South Node the one to step back from. Therefore, your home, family and private life should take priority over work matters. It is not that you can't have vocational or career progress and success in 2013, you can, but that is not the area that you should be prioritizing. Getting your private and domestic life right, however challenging, is where you should be focusing. You may have to choose between a work versus home, public life versus private life or career versus family dilemma, and if so, domestic matters should come first.

The stressful square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn is unlikely to affect you as much as other signs. Nevertheless, it's influence may signify a choice between a more mystical, idealistic vision of life versus a more practical, dog-eat-dog one. The challenge for you may be to hold fast to your ideals while surviving and prospering in the rat race without become a rat.

Neptune is in Pisces for the foreseeable future, the area of your solar chart associated with the resources of others. While you may find it relatively easy to get other's backing for your dreams and schemes, with Neptune in this area of your solar chart, it would be wise to be careful with money, to put a little away for a rainy day and not get involved in complicated or convoluted financial matters and not to rely to much on your flexible friend (your credit card).

Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer are all water signs and Neptune forms harmonious aspects to both Saturn in Scorpio and, from the second half of 2013, Jupiter in Cancer. This threesome form a favorable and harmonious triangle in the zodiac in 2013 and while the benefits may not always be so obvious, for Leo, this influence will be felt on the emotional level, bringing greater understanding of others and yourself and a deeper awareness of, and sensitivity to, the mystical dimension of life.
