Libra 23 Sep - 23 Oct
YOUR YEAR AHEAD 2013
Saturn left Libra, your Sun sign in October 2012
after almost three years in Libra. Whatever your age
or inclination, that is likely to have been a significant
period in your life, a time when one phase of life came to
a close and one in which you had to roll up your sleeves and
dig deep to build a new life or establish yourself in some way. Now
that Saturn has moved into Scorpio for the next few years, to some extent at least, the pressure is off and now you can focus on getting your financial affairs in order.
Since the North Node of the Moon (also known as the Dragon's Head) is also in Scorpio, one of the money zones of your solar chart, this can be a good period for you financially if you heed Saturn's call for greater self-discipline in money matters. The South Node of the Moon (also known as the Dragon's Tail) is always opposite the North Node and since the North Node will be in Scorpio in 2013, the South Node will be in Taurus and this placement of the South Node warns against getting yourself into debt or relying on credit or the resources of others. Fortunately, Jupiter's presence in Cancer from the end of June and Neptune's presence in Pisces throughout 2013, are also indicators of financial opportunities coming your way in 2013. Nevertheless, greater patience, focus and self-discipline is key to your financial health. Therefore pay off debts and reduce your financial commitments to others and consider pursuing those activities that give the best return for your time, energy and resources.
Being a busy, social animal with a fondness for the finer things in life, finance can be Libra's Achilles' heel and too many small expenditures are likely to be more problematic than the occasional large one. You'll benefit from efforts to reduce waste, excesses and impulsive purchases in 2013. If you're feeling unbalanced this isn't the time for reckless retail therapy, phone a friend instead. However, when it comes to big ticket items pause and ask yourself whether it's something you really need and if so, do your homework, shop around but buy quality.
With Uranus in your opposite sign of Aries and Pluto in Capricorn for the foreseeable future, life will continue to be interesting and eventful for a number of years to come. Uranus and Pluto combined are affecting different Sun signs in different ways and some signs feel there influence more strongly than others. The Cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra your Sun sign and Capricorn are the signs who are likely to experience the changes, transformation and upheaval wrought by these two planets more than most. Libras born at the end of September and early October will be feel Uranus and Pluto most strongly in 2013. Those Librans born earlier will have been through this already while those born later in October will have this to come over the next few years. Simply put, Uranus and Pluto are bringing long term changes in your personal and private life, endings and beginning, bringing about a new landscape and new perspective on what and who matters most in your life.
You've changed a lot over the last few years and so has what you want from life and love.
Saturn's recent transit through Libra, your Sun sign, required you to mature and develop firmer boundaries in your life so that you can have happier and healthier relationships in the future. Hopefully, you'll have emerged from this period older and wiser and more realistic expectations about love. Therefore, even if this has been a testing time, good relationships will have emerged stronger and vice-versa. While you can still have fun, play and flirt, this is a time for important decisions, commitments and making the most of what you've got and not procrastinating or wondering whether the grass is greener elsewhere.
From the end of June Jupiter moves into Cancer the career and vocation zone of your solar chart. While in Cancer, Jupiter will form a harmonious triangular configuration with both Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio and this bodes well for money and vocational matters. Saturn required you either become leaner and meaner or older and wiser. Saturn also stirred your ambition and desire to make something of yourself out in the world, a time to work hard and develop a higher level of professionalism and expertise. Saturn required you to move out of your comfort zone and put yourself forward for opportunities where you have to meet higher standards or expectations, where you could grow and develop and where the rewards are higher too. At times, your progress depended on your ability to be firm and show your not a soft touch.
With Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune in harmony in 2013, you can reap the rewards of the efforts you made when Saturn was in Libra in recent years.
Home and family matters may be important but if you let them dominate your life you wont have time or energy for anything or anyone else. This is one of the areas where Saturn has encouraged you to establish firmer boundaries to prevent others leaning on you too much. Although Saturn's transit through Libra has come to an end, the continued presence of Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries paints a background theme of change and transformation in your personal life for some time to come. Naturally, there'll be times when you'll need some breathing space. Fortunately, Jupiter is sending you benefic rays from Gemini in the first half of 2013 so make the most of opportunities to get away from your usual haunts and routine.
Ruled by Venus, Libra delights in anything that appeals to the senses and the more Venus is part of your life the better you'll feel. Venus's presence, or absence, can be seen in how you live. You can get in touch with the goddess by developing your personal style but it's got to be for your own benefit, not for others. Create a harmonious and pleasing living environment with pictures, colour and comfortable furniture, bring music, dance and art into your life. Libra's tendency to put the needs of others first for the sake harmony doesn't always work out to their advantage. Saturn's transit through Libra has taught Libra many things, specifically that one can't depend on others for one's happiness.
